Is this a fit?

Three things every guest signs up for. If all three work for you, apply below.

You come to the studio

Every conversation happens in person at my studio in Pioneer Square. No Zoom, no split screens, no exceptions. Since March 2023, every episode has been recorded across the table.

You have a few hours

Plan on 2 to 3 hours. The point is to let the audience know the real you, and that does not happen in a 20-minute segment.

You are good on camera, live

The talk is a video livestream on LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X, TikTok, Kick and Twitch, then published on the podcast platforms as evergreen content.

Apply to be a guest

Takes about three minutes. I read every application and reply by email.

First, three quick checks

Can you come to the studio in Seattle in person?

Can you set aside 2 to 3 hours for the conversation?

Are you comfortable being on camera in a live video stream?

How the conversation goes

What I need from you

  • A copy of your bio a couple of days before we talk. I get my talking points from your bio and what I find about you on social media.
  • The social media links you want me to share.
  • Any logos you want me to show.
  • A headshot, only if you do not want me to use your LinkedIn profile picture.

Once I hit record

Before we start, I ask if there is anything specific you want me to ask, anything you do not want to talk about, and how to say your name correctly. Then:

  1. I open the show: "This is The Jason Cavness Experience, and I am your host, Jason Cavness."
  2. I read any ads for that episode.
  3. We start with a softball question, then we just talk.
  4. You go into detail on how your company started, what the focus is now, and the plan for the future.
  5. I ask if there is anything I should have asked you that I have not.
  6. You share any advice or knowledge for the listeners.
  7. You tell people how to reach you on social media.
  8. I thank you and the listeners.

We may not get to every question. That is the point of long form.

Getting here

219 1st Ave South, Suite 200
Seattle, WA 98104

When you arrive, text me and I will come down and get you. You will get my cell number with your booking confirmation.

Parking

  • Covered parking at 450 Alaskan Way South.
  • The Butler Garage.
  • The Embassy Suites hotel garage.

All three are 2 to 3 blocks from the studio. Street parking is all around but hit and miss, and most spots have a 2-hour limit, so a garage is the safer bet for a long conversation. The SpotHero app can find cheaper spots nearby. If there is a game or concert on, give yourself extra time.

Your episode goes out on YouTube and the major podcast platforms and becomes part of the show's evergreen content, so it keeps getting found long after release day. It can take up to two months to post. If you need it out sooner, tell me.

What I ask of you: leave a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts, and subscribe on Apple Podcasts or YouTube.
